So…you have decided that you want to start your virtual assistant business. You are super excited but now comes the challenging part of figuring out all of the pieces. Am I right?
Don’t worry, we have totally got this! Before you read any further, I want you to go read the blog post about defining your ideal client first. You can read it here!

Here are a few questions that typically come up with my students and coaching clients on the topic of services.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?
I also want you to know that it’s ok to refine and evolve your services over time. You are never locked into anything, k? I also want you to only offer services that light you up inside and that you actually enjoy doing. How awful would it be to start your own business only to hate the services you are offering? It’s not gonna fly and you are going to burnout so fast and I don’t want that for you at all.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE?
I’m willing to bet that you actually do. Do you have an email inbox? If you say no, please comment below because I will be so shocked! Do you manage you and/or your family’s schedule? Are you involved in Facebook groups or enjoy social media? If you answered yes to any of those, you have personal experience ya’ll!
HOW MANY SERVICES SHOULD I OFFER?
I have an entire blog post dedicated to this topic here. Go check it out. But my shorter answer is that I don’t recommend offering more than 3-5 services. This means that you will master these services and become the go to expert. It will be very clear when potential clients are looking to work with you on what you offer and what you can do for them.
HOW DO I PRICE MY SERVICES?
Again, I’ve got you! Pricing is a whole other beast and I break it all down in this blog post here.
Is this feeling less daunting? I sure hope so! My best advice is to start small and go from there. Sometimes there is no way to know if you are going to love or hate something until you try it out, and that is totally ok. Take the pressure off yourself.
